The Music, Dance, & Art School of Douglaston (MDASD) offers professional music and arts instruction for all ages and levels. The MDASD has provided the community with high quality education since 1994. The MDASD enjoys an incredibly talented faculty; all the teachers hold degrees from prestigious institutions. The program is based on a unique combination of American, European, and Russian methods of teaching. This allows students to receive first-rate education in the arts in a pressure-free, friendly atmosphere. Our commitment and dedication to maintain the highest standards makes the MDASD an excellent place for students to enjoy the benefits of a personalized education that will enrich their lives and bring out their talents. Bi-annual recitals, shows, MDASD Festivals, art exhibitions, technical tests, evaluation weeks, preparation and participation for NYSSMA festivals, and ABRSM exams are the highlights of the school curriculum. Students are motivated by promotional certificates, medals, and trophy awards that recognize their achievements. Evaluation weeks and report cards at the end of each marking period allow the parents and the school to follow the students' progress.
