As a mom, we are always putting our children’s needs ahead of our own needs. Often neglecting the things we would like to do for ourselves like exercising and socializing. What if there was a way you could do that with your child? There is. Fit4Mom Stroller Strides is a mommy and me fitness program.

Stroller Strides® is a stroller-based fitness program designed for moms with little ones. Each 60-minute, total body workout incorporates power walking, strength, toning, songs and activities. Certified fitness instructors offer a variety of fun class formats both indoors and outdoors.  Stroller Strides® offers a free playgroup with Our Village so moms can form lasting friendships with other moms through organized playdates, mom’s nights out, and activities for the whole family.

Putting yourself out there is difficult, just remember:
·       If you are sleep deprived - so are we.
·       If you don't recognize your post-baby body and have a little anxiety about spandex - so do we.
·       If you are having trouble finding the time to work out - so do we.
·       If you are feeling emotional and overwhelmed - so are we.
·       If baby is fussy and you are afraid that they will cry during class - our babies cry too.
·       If you are experiencing baby blues or even postpartum depression - so are we.
·       If you haven't worked out in over a year - we haven't either.
·       If you feel a little awkward putting yourself out there and meeting new people - so do we.

We can all relate to some of these emotions and anxieties. You will find members of Stroller Strides who have been through everything on that list. So set aside your doubts, adjust your schedule, and get out there. You won't regret the workout, you won't regret the friendships and you certainly won't regret joining a community of supportive and kind moms who want to see you succeed.  Make an appointment for your health, schedule it in your calendar and keep it like you would a doctor's appointment. Your body and your well being depend on you to take action.

What fitness level is needed to take classes?

This can be your first time exercising or you can be a fitness enthusiast. All workouts are given a power walking or a running option along with different levels of intensity for each exercise. Do what is best for your current fitness level and take each day as it comes. Motherhood is demanding and some days you will be able to push more than others.  We are here to support you.

How old does my baby have to be to start Stroller Strides?

Your baby can be as young as 6 weeks old as long as you have your physician’s approval.

Can I attend classes while pregnant?

You can as long as your physician has cleared you to exercise. Instructors are pre and postnatal certified and follow the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists guidelines. All exercises can be modified to your stage of pregnancy and comfort.  If you are in your first pregnancy, this is a great way to meet a group of mothers. How nice to already have that network in place when your baby enters the world to answer all those questions you will have!

What if I would like to be a part of Stroller Strides but the times don't work for me?

Just ask! We will be happy to add more classes to the calendar if there is enough interest for that time.
